Blue Whale, based in the New England this summer, is dropping her rates by US$1,000 after Labor Day 2010. The new rates in her “End of Summer 2010 Special” will be: US$9,000 (Captain Only) & US$11,000 (Captain and Chef, plus expenses).
BLUE WHALE can accommodate 5 guests in 2 cabins.
The main salon has a spacious dining alcove to starboard with seating for 6-8. To port is a 6’+ settee for seating and relaxing with a small computer/cocktail table which folds for storage. The entertainment center is also in this area with a TV/DVD (currently, we do not offer TV, only the DVD player) that is easily seen from the dining alcove.
The master stateroom is ensuite with ample cubbies and a hanging locker, this space contains a queen size berth to port, a midline seat and small single to port which may be used as a lounging area or separated from the other berth with the lee cloth to make a berth for a small child.
The starboard guest cabin has extensive storage including a hanging locker and open shelving as well as multiple cubbies. The berth is approximately queen size and may be split with the existing lee cloths into two berths.
The Pilothouse has multiple opening ports for ventilation as well as removable panels for warm weather or can be completely enclosed in the cold or rain. Navigation instruments and an autopilot control are found in this area as well as a cocktail table that is often used for casual meals. A hard-dodger covers the aft helm station that affords storage for surfboards, fishing rods, etc.
Plus, BLUE WHALE is fully air conditioned through out.

Sailing vessel Matau, a 74-foot custom Privilege, is offering a winter special for the 2010-2011 season (excluding Christmas or New Year’s).
With a master cabin having a large en-suite bath with Jacuzzi tub, double sinks and separate toilet/showers, and three other cabins with queen berths and en-suite head w/ stall showers, the fully air-conditioned Matau can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 cabins. The new all-inclusive, fully-crewed pricing for this winter season (excluding Christmas and New Year’s) is US$37,400 for 6 pax and US$39,900 for 8 pax. (These prices exclude fine wines, taxes, dockage & communications.)
In the Grenadines, Matau requires a 7-night minimum charter and is still available for charter.

Full-board rates are inclusive of:
- 7 nights/8 days crewed charter aboard “SCORPIO” including all meals aboard. Please note; we ask guests to have at least one evening meal ashore, at their own expense. We will be happy to provide restaurant recommendations and make any reservations required.
- 2 guests – an additional $500/wk will be charged for a 3rd guest.
Half-board rates are inclusive of:
- 7 nights/8 days crewed charter aboard “SCORPIO” including all breakfasts, 6 lunches and 4 evening meals. All other meals are to be taken ashore, at the guests’ own expense. We will be happy to provide restaurant recommendations and make any reservations required.
- 2 guests – an additional $300/wk will be charged for a 3rd guest.
All rates are inclusive of:
- 7 nights/8 days crewed charter aboard “SCORPIO”. Shorter charter periods will be charged pro-rata but will be subject to an additional premium of 10% of the daily charter rate.
- Snorkelling and Scuba Diving at no additional cost including use of equipment – Scorpio is fully equipped for diving with 4 full sets of dive gear plus on-board compressor. (Use of local dive schools/operators is not included)
- Ships bar – house wine is offered with meals, local beers and soft drinks are available at all times, evening gin and rum cocktails are also offered.
- Pick-up/drop-off from an agreed location where you will be taken to the yacht.
- Yacht delivery to your chosen charter area. Nov – June: Anywhere in the Windward and Leewards, including BVI andGrenadines. July to Aug; Grenadines, Grenada & Tobago.
What’s not included:
- Guests’ travel costs to and from the agreed pick-up/drop-off location.
- Taxes, Cruising Permits and Harbour/Mooring fees.
- Special drinks requirements – eg. vintage wines, champagnes, liqueurs and spirits not normally stocked in the ships bar. You can detail your requirements in our guest’s pre-charter questionnaire to ensure we have adequate supplies aboard.
- Gratuities - A gratuity to the crew is customary but at the guest’s discretion.
With scuba diving and yacht delivery included in the price, Scorpio is still the best value for a yacht of this size.

Charter rates on Three Moons are still competitive and can be as low as US$321 per person per night for an 8 passenger charter. Isn’t it nice to know that Three Moons continues to uphold the level of personal service that she has always been known for? What does that mean?
